FILE 23764—39/23DBE Electric Shadows is an interdisciplinary, artist-run collective formed in 2025, uniting filmmakers, performance-makers, designers, and zine-makers from Brazil, Syria, Mexico, Iran, and China. Rooted in non-Western perspectives and socially engaged practice, we champion system change, artistic research, and marginalized voices. We cultivate a living practice of thinking-through-making through biweekly film screenings, food-sharing circles, open studios, book launch, and monthly collective zines. Our featured artists explore themes of memory, displacement, body politics, spirituality, and resistance through film, sound, performance, and books. We have showcased underground zines, hosted works by diverse filmmakers and collectives. Anchored in mindfulness, somatic care, and radical acceptance, we use art as a tool for seeing one another, healing, dialogue, and collective transformation.
